February 2025 Cohort Highlights
Retail Inventory Forecasting
Built a three-month inventory forecast for a Brisbane clothing retailer using two years of sales data. The tricky part? Accounting for seasonal shifts without just copying last year's patterns. Tamsin's model flagged potential stockouts six weeks ahead, which gave the business actual time to adjust orders.
Service Business Cash Flow Model
Created a rolling 90-day cash flow projection for a landscaping company. Henrik had to factor in weather delays, payment terms that varied by client, and equipment costs that weren't consistent. His model helped the owner see two months ahead where cash would get tight.
Current Students Working On Projects
E-commerce Revenue Projection
Liora Kaufmann
Building a 12-month revenue forecast for an online homewares store. Working through challenges with marketing spend correlation and seasonal purchasing patterns that don't follow standard retail cycles.
Manufacturing Cost Forecast
Callum MacLeish
Creating a quarterly cost forecast for a small manufacturing operation. Currently wrestling with raw material price volatility and how to present uncertainty ranges that actually help decision-making.
Subscription Business Metrics
Ingrid Sørensen
Developing a churn prediction model for a software subscription service. The interesting part is identifying which customer behaviors actually indicate they're about to cancel versus just normal usage fluctuation.
Applications for our September 2025 intake open in July. Projects like these don't happen in the first week — students typically spend 8-12 weeks building the skills before tackling real business scenarios.
